Painting and Skincare

This painting is a layering of fabric, paint, sand and memories. The fabric within the painting was used as my favorite beach blanket for 25 years. If finally fell apart after so many beautiful days spent by the magic sand, water and sky. It carries within it the memories and experiences of a life well lived by the ocean. I approach skin and caring for the skin very much the same was as I do art. Our skin carries within it the memories and experiences of the days of our lives. It carries the struggles, the love the challenges, the hopes and fear and the dreams we hold close. It carries the beauty of our lives, and the layers of our skincare nurtures our skin and help preserve  nourish and heal the life and beauty within each of us.
